He had won every service game in the tournament, a feat achieved by just eight men at this level before him. The ease with which he brushed aside all nine break points against him reflected his confidence. It took two return games for Jannik Sinner to viciously drag the Czech back down to earth. A former childcare worker has been charged with more than 1,600 child abuse offences – including rape – against 91 young girls at a dozen early learning centres in Brisbane, Sydney and overseas over a 15-year period.
Police say they became aware of the 45-year-old Gold Coast childcare worker’s alleged offending after finding video on the dark web in August 2022.
