Musician behind Vietnam war protest hit I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-To-Die Rag dead from Parkinson’s complications, his wife confirms “Country Joe” McDonald, a hippy rock star of the 1960s whose protest track I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-To-Die Rag rebuked the Vietnam war and became a highlight of the Woodstock music festival, died on Sunday. Record high of 4.1 million people found to be in precarious employment such as zero-hours contracts and casual work
The UK has seen an “explosion” in insecure, low-paid work in the past 14 years, according to a new report.
The TUC said its study had found that the number of people in insecure work had reached a record high of 4.1 million.
