He had won every service game in the tournament, a feat achieved by just eight men at this level before him. The ease with which he brushed aside all nine break points against him reflected his confidence. It took two return games for Jannik Sinner to viciously drag the Czech back down to earth. The Scottish National party, is facing a near wipeout in Westminster after dominating politics in Scotland for a decade, as an exit poll suggested it would be left with just 10, against its previous 48, MPs.
Scotland’s former first minister Nicola Sturgeon told ITV that the projection showing they would lose 38 constituencies would translate into a “seismic” night for Labour, if it proved accurate.
